The FOKN Bois are at it again and it’s their new video ‘Account Balance’ off their Afrobeats LOL album.
M3nsa and Wanlov put together the visuals for their popular song which is currently on heavy rotation in Europe. The song is a single off their seven (7) track masterpiece Afrobeats LOL.
We love their new video and here’s our personal take. It was filmed in Midori-Ku and Tokyo. The title ‘Account Balance’ basically defines the song. It is recorded mostly in Pidgin, Twi and Ga; and one will ask, why was the video shot in Japan and why is Wanlov rapping Ga into the Japanese ears even though it might be difficult for her to understand the language.
Like the song suggests: ‘Account Balance’ seems to be pretty much a universal language which we guess everyone will understand. If your bank account balance is in six (6) figures or more, you’re presumed to be rich.

Though “Afrobeats” might be “foreign” to FOKN Bois, it still didn’t take away their social and political activism. Along Kubolor’s rap, he says, “manage Zimbabwea Shillings”. The southern African nation has been struck by one of the worse economy hyperinflation since Robert Mugabe and foreign currencies are largely in operation.
Wanlov and M3nsa did a great job!
The video features some Japenese dancers throwing in some African dance moves. It simply denotes music is a universal language.
The song was produced by M3nsa and the video developed by Wanlov.

According to FOKN Bois,
“When the breadwinner in a relationship is fed up with hearing “I love yous” and is losing faith in their partner whose dreams they have been supporting.”
“FOKN Bois never saw themselves doing Afropop because of it’s generally lovey dovey subject matter and controversial name but here they are. We are laughing with them on their new 7-Track EP “Afrobeats LOL”.
