Ghana’s biggest music talent is Wiyaala – Jon Benjamin
Jon Benjamin has been in the media a lot recently. Last time we heard from the diplomat, he claimed that Stonebwoy is not well known within the confines of the United Kingdom (UK).
We all get our time out in the sun. There comes a moment when the spotlight that is fame focuses solely on us and only us. During these moments even a sigh is recorded and evaluated. More so if you were already a diplomat and an already established well known public figure like the former British High Commissioner to Ghana.Checkout: Stonebwoy isn’t a household name in the UK – Jon
The former British High Commissioner to Ghana claims that in fact there is no need for this beef between Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy, after all Wiyaala is bigger than them all. Seems he is baffled about it all this whole beef. The beef seen as unnecessary by some including the former British High Commissioner to Ghana is one of the major stories to date. It was always hinted out and all but it was never full blown out like it is now. There is no denying the beef now.

He made this claim when asked by a Twitter user to settle the ‘verbal fight’ popularly termed ‘beef’ between popular Dancehall artistes Shatta Wale and Stonebwoy.
The Twitter user named Maestro Veron tweeted at Jon Benjamin “Sir..so shatta and Stonebwoy beef can’t you pls help settle this.cos they are all under one umbrella..xylofon…(SIC).”
In response, the former UK envoy stated: “Ghana is more than big enough to accommodate both Shatta and Stonebwoy. I can settle the beef between them by stating categorically that Ghana’s biggest musical talent is …..Wiyaala That’s all settled then. You dey barb? (SIC)”.
After making her name in reality shows in Accra, Wiyaala established a solo career in 2013 with the hit single “Rock my Body ” which won her two awards at the 2014 first edition of the All Africa Music Awards. She won the Most promising Artiste in Africa and Revelation of the African Continent. She also won the songwriter of the year in the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) in 2015.Click to also watch Power (feat Shatta Wale) by Eazzy
This beef risks causing serious tension and controversies within the music industry and the general public if it continues any further. The former British High Commissioner is just trying to do that, shining the spotlight on someone else. After all even before this beef became official, Stonebwoy had his fans and so did Shatta Wale. Both careers were progressing well and that should continue to be the case.
