After much anticipation and a series of delays, Kanye West’s long-awaited ninth solo album Jesus Is King is finally here. The gospel rap album, which follows last summer’s ye, was first announced by Kim Kardashian in August.
The 11 tracks are rooted in Kanye’s Christian faith and surprisingly its swear-free, and include religious-themed titles such as “Selah,” “Follow God,”
Along with the album, his film of the same name arrives in IMAX theaters worldwide today. Shot over the summer, Jesus Is King brings Kanye’s famed Sunday Service to life in the Roden Crater, James Turrell’s installation in Arizona’s Painted Desert.
In anticipation of the album’s release, Kanye hosted Sunday Service across some states and recently in Jamaica.
