Carrying an unmistakable laid back hip hop beat with soothing horns which gives the song an infectious 90s texture, the two rappers take turns to deliver their inspirational lyrics about self-belief and chasing dreams in both English and pidgen.
The accompanying video for the song was shot by 6Miludo and directed by the two artists, somewhere within the Aburi Mountain enclave.
Kobi Onyame was one of the early proponents of “GH Rap” in the early 2000s along with the Skillionaires. Rapping under the name Jay P, he formed the Haatsville Project, a hiphop group which also had producer/rapper Jayso.

Kobi Onyame‘s album, ‘Gold’, released in 2017 has been hailed as an excellent piece of work due in part to its fusion of Ghanaian highlife sounds and traditional afrobeat rhythms.
Gold was adjudged as the best album at the Infinitime Music Awards (IMA) in London last year. ‘Still We Rise’ is one of the outstanding songs on the album, thanks to it’s message of positivity and success.
