Kenya’s boy band Sauti Sol has dropped yet the most controversial video ‘Melanin’ featuring Nigerian dancehall singer Patoranking.

‘Melanin’ is the first video off the group’s forthcoming LP titled, “Afrikan Sauce – A continuation of the Live and Die in Afrika”.

The video released on the 20th has already garnered controversies and also prompted the Kenya Film Classification Board Ezekiel Mutua as “..defying the norms and expectations of the society”, reported by Citizen TV, Kenya.
The Kenya Film Classification Board is a state corporation whose mandate is to regulate the creation, broadcasting, possession, distribution and exhibition of films by rating them.

On April 2014, the group also released “Nishike” which Kenyan authorities also deemed “inappropriate”. In the same year it was nominated for Channel O Music Video Awards.
