Michael Essien Sculptor turns a Deaf Ear: Constructs SHATTA WALE statue

Shatta Wale statue — Maker of infamous Michael Essien sculpture has turned a deaf ear and gone ahead to construct a similar statue to honour the Dancehall King.

Recently, photos of Essien‘s sculpture in his former blue iconic Chelsea kit was erected at Boadi Road, Twitter account by Saddick Adams confirms.

Hello @MichaelEssien, I’m not sure you’re aware of this your huge honour in Kumasi at that popular Boadi Road. Later another compatriot statue of Asamoah Gyan was seen — with the Black star player posing next to it.

The sculpture meant to honour the current Indonesian club Persib Bandung player Essien however met mixed feelings by some Ghanaians.

Including Shatta Wale who also described it “abysmal”, the maker of both statues has followed up with the latest installment. Previously, Wale on social media bashed the creator;

“WHOEVER DO THIS STATUE, I HEAR SAY YOU DEH MIX MY CEMENT. MAKE YOU NO TRY!!! MAKE YOU NO GO THAT SIDE KRAAA!!!”

However, it’s unconfirmed if it’s the same sculptor who just made this new one for Shatta Wale.

Where is Shatta Wale’s statue?

After all, Shatta wasn’t wrong! New photos which have surfaced online suggests the master sculptor is almost done — making Shatta Wale statue the first Ghana musician ever.
