There might be a “third” person who many have missed. Ata Kak, a Ghanaian native born in Kumasi, started rapping and debuted the first Twi-Rap titled, “Obaa Sima” album in 1994. His first ever media report in any Ghanaian tabloid was on GhKings, earlier this year.

Reggie Rockstone‘s “Makaa Maka” (first album) was dropped in 1997. Ambolley released his first record in 1973 which leaves him not only the first rapper from Ghana but across the world.
