Visibly Fairer Skin: NIVEA Takes Down ‘Racist’ Billboard in Ghana
Skin care product manufacturers Nivea has ‘finally’ responded to outcry of many Ghanaians who wanted their ill-advised campaign to come down.
UK-based Ghanaian singer Fuse ODG brought to million’s attention the self condemnation message Nivea was propagating across the country. According to a photo shared by Fuse ODG, Nivea is taking down one of the billboards which bore the message at Kasoa, in Ghana.
However, after the take down exercise, many Ghanaians again would want the cosmetic producers to also issue an official apology.
