SM boss, Shatta Wale, as usual is at the centre of this week’s controversies following his utterances about the Ghana music industry.
Shatta Wale is ready to take anyone down should they according to him; disrespect him. The ‘Ayoo’ hitmaker has been ousted by many industry players after his outburst on social media.
Charles Nii-Armah Mensah, formerly called Bandana, Shatta Wale hit the limelight in 2004 with ‘Moko Hoo,’ a single off his second album. However, he shortly lost the spotlight.
Following years to come, Bandana would rebrand to be called Shatta Wale, and as you can see now; the rest was history.
The vibrant dancehall artist, yet very controversial seems to also be the talk of the town, be it good or bad news.
Recently he asserted that musicians shouldn’t “waste money” to shoot comparative videos like the American rappers, which he specifically mentioned Jay-Z. The statement didn’t sit well with a lot of media personalities including the video director David Nicol-Sey who called out Shatta Wale, as the very-person hindering the music industry in Ghana.
He was also ousted on a telephone interview with movie maker Kofi Asamoah (Kofas) which eventually erupted into arguements on air.
3 Music boss Sadiq Abdulai is also one of the list who is not happy about recent statements by Shatta Wale.
Now, SM boss seems to be fed up with all the people coming after him, and has once again taken to social media to threaten all his nemesis.
He said, “David ni co co (David Nicol-Sey) ,I will beat u personally for insulting me so go report to police cuz I will beat u …the worse is arrest ..am too gangster if u care to know .”
“You guys can talk to other celebrities like that but as for me this time dierrr beatings paaa ..cuz most of you don’t respect ..#BANDANAISBACK
Let’s not forget, in 2017, Shatta slapped his security personal on stage while performing.
