Ghanaian boy Oswald Gennuh became a celebrity overnight when his “our day” list went viral on social media.
Oswald, a student of Christ Ambassadors School in Dansoman became a public interest when his note to his mum ended on Twitter.
The nine-year-old boy was expecting a special package from his mother as per his note. He sent the list to his mum as a reminder of things that he would need on his big day.
However, what he did not expect was that he would get a grand list of things he didn’t bargain for.
His list landed on the internet and many Ghanaians were astonished by the detailed note. He wrote a seven-point note which included a present to his special teacher, Mrs Appiah.
According to little gentleman, he did not disappoint his mother in his exams and thus expected her not to forget his itemised note. On a phone interview with Joy FM, his mother said ocassionally she would forget the things she needed to buy for him.
Oswald’s note was shared on Twitter by her mum’s work colleague, who also found it fascinating by “The emotional blackmail at the end…,” he tweeted. His tweet garnered over twenty thousand Likes.
Media houses covered his big day while food companies like Dominos Pizza, KFC Ghana, Pizza Hut and others delivered free food to him and his colleagues. He also received a cake from the network company MTN while his school also earned one year free internet provision from Vodafone.
