Cardi B is standing up for Lizzo over ‘fatphobic’ and hateful comments. Cardi B went to her defence to slam internet trolls.
On August 13, 2021 Cardi B and Lizzo teamed to release ‘Rumors’ – the single which quickly took to top charts across most platforms. The song celebrates being yourself regardless of the opinions of others.
Now Lizzo is letting us know, sometimes these hateful comments find ways and means to get to you. Over the weekend, the singer broke down in tears live on Instagram.
She said, while sobbing;
‘Sometimes I just feel the world don’t love me back… it’s like doesn’t matter how much positve energy you put into the world, you’re still gonna have people who have something mean to say about you.”
She went on to say;
“It’s fatphobic, it’s racist and it’s hurtful”
What is Lizzo’s real name?
Real name Melissa Viviane Jefferson, Lizzo went on further to describe the how the society tries to box black women into certain categories and that if you don’t fit, they unleash hatred.
However, she came to realisation to continue to do great music and uplift others.
Cardi B took over Twitter and also said,
“When you stand up for yourself they claim your problematic & sensitive.When you don’t they tear you apart until you crying like this. Whether you skinny,big,plastic, they going to always try to put their insecurities on you.Remember these are nerds looking at the popular table.”
