Infamous Shamima Begum has resurfaced after she was stripped off her UK citizenship in 2019 following her engagement with ISIS.
Shamima was 15 years old, as a schoolgirl when left the UK to Syria, to join the terrorist group. She made some disheartening claims in the past including justifying Manchester bombings. She has since been embroiled in a legal battle with the UK government.
Today, she appeared on Good Morning Britain from a detention camp in Syria to reappeal her claim to British citizenship. Speaking to hosts; Richard and Susanna, Shamima said if she is allowed to returned to the UK, she would help Boris Johnson and the UK government to fight terrorism.
Shamima Begum was an Isis bride; had three (3) children, who they all mysteriously died. According to her, she was advised that they may have died from lung infection from the bombings.
Wearing a Nike baseball cap this time, Begum claims the government formulated evidence against her and thus, it is untrue she played any major part in any ISIS operation. However, Savid Javid, who was the Home Secretary at the time (2019), later appeared on the same show, where he also reinstated that, “No one would let Shamima Begum return if they knew what he knows.”
He futher insisted, the government top priority is to protect the British people, and all decisions should be consistent with that.
Shamima, now 22, continues to fight for her claim to British citizenship, but at the moment there seems to be no prospect of her coming back to the country.
