Originally from Konongo Zongo, Black Sherif has been associated with Kumericans as he is also a close associate of Yaw Tog.
AKA Blacko, Sherif initially started as a singer but has come to be known by a lot as a rapper. He is identified as a Trapper; a sub-genre of Hiphop.
How old is Black Sherif?
Aged 19, he was born on January 9, 2002. He completed Kumasi Academy (KUMACA) and he is currently a student of the University of Professional Studies Accra (UPSA). A recent video circulated online where the rapper was been rebuked by one of the school’s administrators for his dress code.
Shortly after SHS in 2019, he qualified for MTN hitmaker which made him to relocate to Tema to stay with his brother.
He is well noted for his realism in his lyrics. ‘Second Sermon’ is a sequel to his first freestyle ‘First Sermon.’ Speaking with Abeiku Santana on Okay FM, he revealed that “Sister Mariama,” the name he mentioned on the track was actually his favourite cousin who passed away not long ago.
Since the release of the ‘Second Sermon’ the video has garnered almost 2 million views in less than two (2) weeks on YouTube.
Blacko was known within a small circle till he hit the scenes with ‘Money’. He later released a remix featuring Amg Armani and Tulenkey.
