The Chief Executive Officer of Wonda World Properties, Nana Kwame Bediako has confirmed an agreement has been reached with organizers of AfroNation to allow the hosting of the concert on his property, the Laboma Beach.
Wonda World on December, 20 filed a writ, seeking to place an interlocutory injunction on the use of Laboma Beach for Afro Nation 2019.
But Nana Kwame Bediako has announced a withdrawal of the suit, paving way for the staging of the concert via a video.
The businessman maintained that contrary to reports of him seeking to destroy the show, he is open to any initiative that will help sell the country and project it’s values and culture.
He encouraged Ghanaians to patronize the event as it will leave them with lasting memories. He also used the opportunity to send his Yuletide good wishes to Ghanaians.
He said, “Ghana is a beautiful contrary full of political and economical stability. I want everyone to know that my interest is never to destroy anything good that is coming to this country. We have sat down with AfroNation to settle the dispute that has led to rumours of this show being terminated”.
“I will like to say all of you, its Christmas and you would love to have a merry Christmas and enter the new year with happiness and great memories. On that note we have come together and decided that no matter what, whatever that has brought us together, we will stay stronger than what is pulling us apart”, he said.
According to myjoyonline, it has been agreed that Wonda along with the three companies, would jointly host a party to mark the end of the Year of Return.
This party is aimed at celebrating the culture and heritage of Ghana and the African Diaspora. The party which will be hosted at the No. 1 Oxford Street, Accra or any other venue chosen by Wonda World, will take place on January 1.
